SUMMARY
The Sr. Manager, Demand Planning develops accurate and timely demand forecasts while reducing inventory/working capital and minimizing forecast variability. This lead partners with the commercial planning teams; Sales, Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing, to gather input to build the consensus demand plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Work cross-functionally to develop and optimize rolling 18-month statistical SKU-level forecast to guide both supply chain and S&OP planning decisions.
- Maintain a forecasting system to accurately forecast market trends, historical trends with Sales and Merchandising Teams.
- Participate in monthly meetings with Sales & Merchandising teams to gather information related to market activity and incorporate into the forecast.
- Manage in-season forecasting to meet or exceed key performance indicators, including sales, and inventory health, age/turns, and weeks of supply.
- Ensure forecasting objectives are achieved, review potential risks/opportunities between the demand plan and financial plan, and collaborate cross functionally to mitigate and reduce inventory risk.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Sales: Monthly collaboration to develop seasonal assortment and demand plan across all key accounts including consistency of forecast assumptions, base business trends, promotional plans, new launch volumes, assortment changes & seasonal volume.
- Business Intelligence: Work with Demand Analyst and utilize BI tools to analyze data and inform forecasting and allocation decisions. Develop insights and recommendations based on performance metrics and trends.
- MFP Finance: Align Forecasts to financial budget, make recommendations based on trends.
- Merchandising: Support SKU optimization through analytics for Brand assortment and new product launch performance reviews.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Business or related field preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years Demand or Omni-Channel Planning experience
Ability to manage and maintain large record sets
Experience with cloud-based planning platform, o9 preferred.
Exposure to SAP
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical with a focus on execution and process improvement.
Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically, from high level overview to detailed execution
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Management skills, ability to lead, train and motivate others
