This position is responsible for the development, planning and delivery of the Academic Enhancement Program, Summer Enrichment Camp and related school-age care activities. The Education Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the areas of staff supervision and administration of the Academic Enhancement Program, Summer Enrichment Camp and other school-age care programs. Provide leadership, coordination and instruction of literacy and education curriculum. Support the development and monitoring of the progress of student academic plans. Identify services and academic programs offered in the schools and community; develop ways to enhance these services and programs for the participants.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s level degree in Education or related field.
- Three years’ experience in education or child care required. Teaching experience required with preferred endorsements for elementary, middle or high school.
- One-year related experience as a Coordinator or Supervisor of child-care/youth programs
- Knowledge of child-care licensing requirements
- Florida Child Care Director Credential preferred
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, problem-solving, organizational skills, project management, time management, creative thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task with minimal direction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
