Summary
This position is responsible for managing and reviewing, within established guidelines, overdrawn accounts as well as applying overdraft policies and procedures to all new accounts. Prepares monthly overdraft reports. Responsible to accurately post file maintenance /changes to existing deposit accounts through the host system. The position requires a working knowledge of all bank products as data entry applies to each, including but not limited to policies, procedures, rules and regulations that govern account requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews Deposit Accounts that go into overdraft both within established overdraft limits and in excess of those limits. Ensures accurate and timely processing of overdraft accounts, proper reporting of Charged off accounts to reporting bureaus.
Enters data entry from a variety of documents which includes file maintenance, monetary transactions on the bank’s on-line system in a timely and accurate manner. Uses reference manuals, training tools, established policies and procedures provided by management along with knowledge of the on-line system to make appropriate file maintenance changes to customer account records.
Processes return items electronically through the Core Processor.
Reviews new and existing accounts for applying overdraft Privileges to accounts within established guidelines as required in a timely manner.
Prepares letters regarding overdraft accounts.
Prepares a variety of forms, tickets, documentation.
Prepares Monthly Double Check Report
Prepares New Account Letters Daily
Do Not Call Report Quarterly
Prepares Various Tickets for Deluxe

Education and / or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to four years of experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and regulations that apply to their work. Ability to write correspondence and complete a variety of tickets with legible handwriting and an understanding of how the tickets affect the General Ledger or other accounts (exp. DD / Sav. / CD’s, Etc.). Ability to effectively present information in a one - to - one situation to employees and customers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to compute rate and percent.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram (such as workflows) form. Ability to problem solve in a variety of situations by researching errors and applying learned skills to correct or explain.
Computer Skills
Computer skills including the ability to operate a keyboard/typewriter and mouse. Effective use of telephone. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and word.
