Description

As a Citizens Bank Branch Manager, you will oversee the daily activities of the branch and all employees, including other officers. Responsible for developing and maintaining strong long-lasting relationships with customers. You will work as a team member responsible for exceptional customer service standards along with operational soundness and revenue generation. Applicants with lending experience will have commercial and/or consumer lending responsibilities.   

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Branch Management

  • Responsible for supervision and leadership, both indirect and direct, of all Branch staff.
  • Champion and model the Citizens Bank Corporate Culture for team members, customers, and community.
  • Complete marketing outreach activities necessary to reach Branch goals.
  • Develop an annual budget and assure Branch profitability at or above budgeted levels.
  • Increase, improve, and maintain quality lending and deposit relationship portfolios for the Branch.
  • Coordinate and participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of branch and central operations procedures.
  • Lead the Branch in the Citizens Bank Corporate Culture and be the “go to” banker in the community.

 

General

  • Create a connection and develop rapport with customers to provide outstanding, personalized service.
  • Maintain the safety, integrity, and confidentiality of customer information. 
  • Help maintain a safe and secure work environment by displaying responsiveness to lobby traffic and ensuring each customer is acknowledged in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Build, develop, and maintain partnerships with teammates and other departments to maximize effectiveness and to best serve our customers. 
  • Regular and reliable attendance. 
  • Responsible for completing all training courses assigned.
  • Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other banking regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to successfully perform the job. These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Prior bank or credit union branch management experience preferred.
  • Prior commercial lending experience preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating Windows based PC.
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Experience with general office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax, 10-key, filing systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of basic addition and subtraction.

  • Strong understanding of community bank fundamentals, and a desire to serve.
  • Demonstrated strength in credit, financial, and risk analysis. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of consumer, commercial, and real estate lending policies, procedures, regulations, and systems preferred.
  • Ability to manage a loan portfolio from origination to collection preferred.
  • Dedication to organizational goals, objectives, cultural values, mission, and vision.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment and building strong relationships with customers.
  • Inquisitive nature, desire to learn and continue to develop professionally.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and trusted advisor aptitude.
  • Team oriented, adaptable to change, self-motivated to create opportunities for business generation and learning.
  • Willingness to achieve working knowledge of all Citizens Bank products to help meet customer needs and develop new business through relationship building.  

 

Working Conditions

  • Work is conducted during day shift hours in an indoor temperature-controlled office.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule which may require evening work. 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to clearly speak, hear, see, and communicate with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movements.
  • Ability to regularly kneel, reach, bend, push, pull, carry coin bags up to 50 pounds.
