Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, responsible for performing all duties associated with preparing and boarding consumer loan files. Successful candidate, upon mastering administrative tasks, will then begin to train as a consumer lender for eventual loan authority. Provide superior customer service to the Bank's customers, lending personnel, and branches. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of loan products and state and federal regulations.
Essential Duties:
- Perform simple and complex transactions on consumer indirect and direct loan accounts including, but not limited to: Auto loans, RV Loans, Boat Loans, Personal Secured Loans, Personal Unsecured Loans, Check Protect, and all Indirect loans through the dealership
- Research and resolve servicing issues in support of lending officers and customers within scope of authority and expertise by any means including CCC transfers, phone, mail, CRM cases, and in person requests.
- Perform file maintenance on consumer loans as requested.
- Assist in developing and updating procedures.
- Perform file processing including tracking, ticklers and consumer loan boarding.
- Review loan approvals to ensure and monitor the closed loan files meet the approval in all requirements.
- Scan, index, and upload documents to imaging system.
- Prepare and mail new consumer loan letters.
- Prepare adverse action letters and maintain related files.
- Prepare direct consumer loan documents for borrower execution.
- Once other skills are mastered, train to analyze and underwrite consumer loans. Successful candidate will eventually become a consumer lender, making both direct and indirect consumer loans. Activities will include branch and dealer calls to promote knowledge and loan growth.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, Bank policy and department procedures.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and confidence while performing servicing functions and conversations.
- Responsible for ensuring that the Bank's internal and external customers receive an adequate level of service and ensures all questions or concerns have been addressed.
- Strictly adheres to Bank Secrecy Act requirements, applies organizational policies and procedures in all activities.
- Adheres to all regulatory laws and adheres to compliance policies and regulations.
- Completes assigned regulatory compliance training courses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Essential Duties:
- Responsible for special projects and/or duties relating to departmental functions as assigned by the supervisor.
- Works directly with the Consumer Lending and Compliance Department in assuring the Bank is up to date with all regulatory and policy changes. This may require policy or procedure changes.

- Must be able to work remotely from time to time and maintain normal levels of production with minimal supervision.
Minimum Level of Preparation and Training Required:
- Minimum of two years' experience in banking or related industry
- Minimum of two years' customer service experience preferred
- Minimum one year experience in loan processing, preferred
- Knowledge of consumer loan documentation preferred
- Strong knowledge of the various types of financial instruments specific to the repayment of debt preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Generally good. Some exposure to adverse conditions when making business development calls.
- Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions (i.e. robbery/hostage). Receives detailed instructions concerning procedures to be followed during a robbery/hostage situation.
