JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE

The Senior Technology and Information Security Officer (STISO) is responsible for overseeing the organization's technology strategy and ensuring the security of its information systems. This role combines leadership in technology innovation with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, ensuring that the organization's data and IT infrastructure are protected against threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Leadership:
  • Develop and implement the organization's technology strategy.
  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance business operations.
  • Collaborate with management to align technology goals with business objectives.
  • Manage projects as assigned.
• Information Security:
  • Develop and enforce information security policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GLBA).
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage security audits.
  • Respond to security incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee the implementation of security technologies and solutions.
• Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor the IT and bank teams on technology including cybersecurity.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage IT and security budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Work closely with the CIO and IT team to enhance the overall operations.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Prepare reports for senior management and the board of directors.
  • Communicate technology and security strategies to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience working in the technology field.
• Degree beyond high school in an IT related field or previous IT experience.
• Strong knowledge of information security principles, practices and technologies.
• Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, with a strong background in information security.
• In-dept knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and security frameworks.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Valid Drivers License required.
• Will need to travel to other locations from time to time as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OR CISA are highly desirable
• Familiarity with cloud security and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls.
• Knowledge of SQL and Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of of VMWare environments
• Knowledge of various banking systems.
