We seek professional, mature, responsible, empathetic and customer service oriented individuals to train to become certified as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant. GNA's are responsible for providing direct and indirect care to residents and guests under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Training classes are held for 6 weeks (Monday through Thursday) and 100% attendance is required; Supplemental work as Hospitality Aide is available for additional hours beyond the classroom. $15.30/hr while in the class.

Upon successful completion of training and obtaining GNA certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing (MDBON), employees will be placed to FULL TIME, 40 hours/week employment. The shift assignment will be based on facility need and could consist of DAY (7:45 AM to 4:15 PM), EVENING (3:45 PM to 12:15 AM) or NIGHT (12:00 AM to 8:00 AM) shift. All shifts have an every other weekend requirement. Starting GNA pay rate (upon certification from MDBON is $17.23/hour PLUS differential). Promissory note is forgiven after 1 year working as a Full Time GNA.

High School diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age are required.

Primary series Covid-19 vaccination and Annual Influenza vaccination are mandatory and are conditions of employment.

Additional Education/testing information: The GNA credential is contingent on passing a nationally recognized examination. Consists of oral, written and skills, the ability to read/write, and hold basic math knowledge.
