Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center is where Care Begins with Compassion. We are seeking a Full Time Patient Transport Specialist at our Skilled Nursing Facility.

This position is generally Monday-Friday but may require some weekend availability on occasion.
Responsibilities :
Drive Facility Van from facility to nearby Doctor Offices or needed medical appointments for our residents
Provide assistance / escort for residents to and from physician appointments, dialysis, activity events and any other transportation as needed.
Push and pull wheelchairs in and out of van and safely secures wheelchairs.
Prioritize residents’ safety at all times
Assists the Maintenance Director as needed
Perform a variety of Maintenance repairs including fixing faucets, replacing light fixtures, helping implement safety protocols, painting.
Ensure proper storage of all maintenance supplies.
Qualifications and Requirements :
Valid Maryland Driver’s License, and have a clean driving record with no points
DOT Medical Exam and current DOT Medical Examination Card
Must be willing to become First Aid / CPR certified within a month of date of hire. (training and certification will be provided to you if needed)
Must be able to work varying days and hours as assigned, which may include weekends and holidays
Effectively operate GPS devices, 2-way radios, and cell phones and a knowledge of local area (Frederick County) a must
Must be able to effecitvely communicate to residents and co-workers as well as other pertinent staff
