CEFCU member service team members are critical to the success of the credit union. They provide a professional, knowledgeable, and caring experience when members contact us. We are looking for individuals who are personable, articulate, and positive to add to our already awesome team!
Primarily functions as a loan processor working within set lending policies & procedures and makes loan recommendations to Member Center Management and CA Lending Manager as required.Interviews consumer loan applicants in person as well as over the phone. Determines the appropriateness of loan products and informs members of loan decision including any changes or restrictions and conditions (stipulations).
Requires technical and analytical product and service knowledge in all loan products.
Maintains and develops CEFCU’S business relationships with various business partners while participating in a variety of business development events to include but not limited to: Dealer on-site visits, off-site car sales and SEG/community events.
Explains various account and ownership options to the membership as well as non-members, and fulfills new account, business accounts and IRA requests.
Fulfills MSR I and Cashier responsibilities as needed. Maintains organization viability through goal attainment set forth in Member Center and Corporate Balanced Scorecards.
Supports other Member Centers in the region as needed for the purposes of cross training and to cover staffing shortages to meet business demands and maintain appropriate service levels.

General requirements for internal and external candidates
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registration (NMLS) to comply with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act).
• Bilingual skills in Spanish are required for some positions.
• Must be sales/solutions/service oriented and work well in a production/goal attainment environment.
Requirements for external candidates
• Minimum one year consumer loans/lending experience (personal, vehicle, credit cards).
• Minimum one year cash handling experience.
Requirements for internal candidates (MSR I/MSR I-Support)
• Minimum 10-18 months of financial industry/banking experience.
• Must meet assigned productions goals in the last 6 months prior to promotion/consideration.
• Must be considered to be successfully meeting expectations within the scope of goals/duties of the MSR I.
• Must have attended Deposit Accounts Training and be considered proficient in opening new accounts.
• Must have attended Business Development/Community Relations training and actively participate in community events.
• Must meet assigned goal in "Product Offers".
• Must have attended IRA Training and be proficient in opening and servicing IRA accounts OR be proficient with most "Cashier" duties to include being able to independently close the Member Center, completing all end of day processes such as CBAL, Vault Balancing, and Cashier's checks and PMO consolidation.
Preferred:
• Applicable college courses and/or commensurate experience preferred.
• Previous experience in direct and indirect lending.
Summary Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $26.81 - $31.51.Compensation offered may vary based on skills and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at CEFCU.
