Citizens Health is recruiting a Comptroller to work full-time in our Financial Services department.

Location: 100 E College Ave, Colby, Kansas
Position Information: Assist CFO with financial responsibility.
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8am to 5 pm
Pay Range: Dependent upon experience.
What you’ll do:
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Develop financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Develop financial metrics that are key in tracking efficiencies at each department level
- Produce monthly reports for department supervisors that includes key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting
- Assist Senior Account and CFO in the preparation of monthly financial statements including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement
- Maintain the General Ledger to ensure proper financial reporting
- Assist CFO with development of annual capital and operations budgets
- Complete other duties as assigned per organizational need
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, CPA preferred
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling, excellent analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills, attention to accuracy and detail required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to type and operate personal computer
- Ability to maintain accuracy
- Ability to interpret accounts and records
