Position Information: The prep aide/cook is responsible for a list of daily duties assigned by the Food Services Manager.
Days: 5 days per week
Hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Range: dependent on experience
What you’ll do:
- Prepare fresh items for the salad bar and for the merchandising refrigerator and shelf stable items. This includes sandwiches, wraps, handmade goodies per PAR levels. Label and date with proper time frame to use
- Complete daily assigned cleaning task as scheduled for the Prep Aide position, documented in SQSS.
- Assist others in the kitchen with dishes, serving tray line and customers in the cafeteria, as needed.
- Put freight away on designated day according to first in first out method. Remove cardboard boxes when done with freight.
- Sweep and mop dry storage weekly after truck.
What you bring to the table:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service experience, preferred

Typical Working Conditions: Well-lighted, well-ventilated work area. Subject to burns, cuts, and falls. Exposed to hot and cold temperature changes. May be exposed to infection when handling contaminated dishes or silverware, etc. Exposed to continuous noises put out by electrical food service equipment.
