Citizens Health is recruiting an activities manager to work full-time at Prairie Senior, our long-term care facility, assisting with the planning and implementation of the activities program for our residents.

Citizens Clubhouse - an onsite childcare center that cares for children 6 weeks to school age for our workforce
Citizens Medical Equipment - our durable medical equipment business

Location: 1625 S Franklin Ave, Colby, KS
Responsible to the Administrator.
Days: Sunday through Saturday
Hours: 8am through 5 pm
Pay Range: dependent upon experience.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare for and admit residents.
- Assure admissions process of residents is done in compliance with state and federal regulations along with GSS guidelines and facility policies.
- Inventory all items brought in upon admission and ensures the items are labeled and documented properly.
- Assure resident rights are protected and that all residents, families/significant others are made aware of resident rights.
- Set up resident funds for personal spending money left at the facility.
- Assess and develop a plan of care that meets residents’ needs. Provide or arrange for social services for residents/family members as appropriate.
- Accommodate residents’ needs through responding appropriately to residents’ verbal/nonverbal expressions of needs.
- Process appropriate documentation when items are reported missing and notify relevant staff.
- Assure residents’ spiritual needs are met.
- Completes all documentation related to social work.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
- Must be certified in the State of Kansas as a CNA, certification of completion of SSD/AD class, and have a current CPR certification.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
- Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents and the public.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in all situations.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly.

Typical Working Conditions:
Well-lighted, well-ventilated facility and office environment. Subject to numerous interruptions and occasional stressful situation.
Typical Physical Demands:
Position requires extended periods of standing. Must be able to assist with the transportation of residents to activities, and capable of assisting with residents ADL’s.
