However, during the first 90 days, the employee may be expected in the office more frequently for training and onboarding.Candidates with more experience may be considered for a Senior Attorney position and should indicate their interest in a Senior Attorney role in their application.Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrafting and reviewing transaction documents, reviewing and commenting on loan due diligence, leading closing calls and closing multifamily loans, as well as post-closing compliance matters.Work closely with other attorneys and paralegals primarily on a variety of multifamily closings, recordings, and filings.Provision of corporate and legal governance services, including the preparation and negotiation of contracts, reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs), and other agreements, forms, and policies related to the Agency’s programs and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.Serving as the Legal Division’s liaison and / or first point of contact for one or more particular areas of law and as a Legal Division resource to the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, and Senior Attorneys for research, compilation, review, and reporting on specific matters as directed, including the provision of advice and legal services relating to the interpretation of the Agency’s policies and procedures.Minimum RequirementsAdmitted, or eligible for admission, to the Massachusetts bar.Four to seven years’ experience with sophisticated real estate or commercial transactions, municipal finance and / or single-family mortgage regulation / foreclosure.Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.Minimum Education and TrainingGraduate (J.D.) of accredited law school.Superior academic credentials.Salary Range : $125,545.07 to $163,208.07MassHousing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
