JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of a staff radiographer, will aid in radiographic positioning, transferring, and transporting patients.
Job Specific:
- Assumes responsibility for designated area of work and procedures as required for routine or special assignments. (EF)
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of assigned work area. (EF)
- Secures and stocks supplies as appropriately needed. (EF)
- Applies age-specific needs in the assessment, treatment, or care of patients.
Hospital:
- Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
- Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital’s Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
- Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
- Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Actively enrolled and in the second year of a program of Radiology Technology
EXPERIENCE
Required: Clinical knowledge of general radiographic procedures
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required:
- Ability to work closely and effectively communicate with all other technologists, radiologists, medical staff, patients, public and other hospital personnel.
- Acts in a professional manner, responds to patient needs and supports colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- License with ARRT – The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist; Must be obtained within 3 months of graduation.
- License with the TMB – Texas Medical Board; Must be obtained within 3 months of graduation.
- Current BLS from AHA – The American Heart of Association.
