What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor - Behavioral Assessment Team Member position at Citizens Memorial?
Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a LPC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist for our Behavioral Assessment Team (BAT) at our main hospital in Bolivar, MO.
This position will be responsible for conducting safety risk assessments within the ER Department. You will make recommendations for placement and conduct safety planning with the patients and/or family as needed. Recommendations will be reported back to the ED team for follow-up.
A typical day will include: Consulting the on-staff physicians regarding clinical concerns, reviewing patient charts, and meeting face-to-face with patients to conduct diagnostic assessment. Assessment will include crisis evaluation using appropriate risk assessment measures, communicating recommendations back to the ED care team, and documenting the assessment correctly.
This position is: On-call position - PRN Days, 7:30am - 7pm, and is required to present to the ED within an hour of call.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Masters Degree in Social Work or Masters/Doctorate in Psychology
- Experience: 1-3 years behavioral health or substance abuse counseling (may include pre-degree practicum)
- Skills: Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication
- Licensure/Certification: Current Missouri LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist. We are unable to consider PLPCs at this time.
