Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Registration Support Specialist to join Patient Access staff in the Emergency Department.
Patient Access consists of registering/ admitting patients for treatment, collecting insurance information after a provider has seen the patient, working and verifying registration accuracy on daily admission orders.
A typical day will include: Provides registration training and support, completes quality reviews and is responsible for accountability of ED specific patient access staffing. Duties include, but are not limited to: registering/ admitting patients for treatment, auditing daily accounts for completeness and accuracy, collecting insurance information after a provider has seen the patient, working and verifying registration accuracy on daily admission orders, monitoring for trends, identifying training needs, and help support staffing as needed.
The position is: Full-time days
Job Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Recent registration and/or medical insurance billing experience (1 year required – 2 years preferred); Clerical/secretarial training experience
- Skills: N/A
- Licensure/Certification: N/A
