Citizens Memorial Hospital Foundation (CMH) is recruiting a licensed Speech Language Pathologist at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo, Missouri.
Colonial Springs Healthcare Center is a 134-bed long-term care, skilled nursing center. It includes a 34-bed memory care unit, as well as a 16-bed high-functioning memory care unit. The center offers inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. Speech, physical and occupational rehabilitation are provided by full-time, in-house therapists.
A typical day for the Speech Therapist will include helping patients with speech, language, and memory challenges. Disorders affecting swallowing are also treated. Therapists work with such patients to focus on safe oral nutritional intake. Services help patients with functional tasks, verbal expression, speech clarity and understanding instructions. Therapists also help patients of all ages with reading, writing, cognition or problem-solving.
The position is full-time days, 8 am - 4:30 pm.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Experience: New graduates welcome; 1 year of experience preferred
- Skills: Patient care
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts
