Experience during the program
Our summer internship program runs for 10 weeks, from late May to early August. Our program offers interns a unique dual experience.
Interns spend half of their time on a team, collaborating with Data & Analytics colleagues and business representatives to work on a real-world project. Projects are tailored so interns can experience the full project cycle. Past projects centered on areas such as enhancing the customer experience, optimizing business spend, identifying new market opportunities, providing business insights, model development, and engineering metrics & dashboarding. Interns are assigned to projects based on their backgrounds and project locations.
For the remainder of their time, interns are individually partnered with a host team within the analytic community to participate in ongoing work. Partnering areas may include statistical modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, advanced analytics, reporting, data engineering, programming, and other areas to support Line of Business, Sales, Marketing, et cetera, to make impactful business decisions. This component of the program provides interns with direct exposure to teams in areas that align to their education and interests.
Interns are expected to adopt a hybrid work structure and work out of one of our headquarters in Columbus, OH, Johnston RI, or Westwood, MA.
Participants can expect to :
Perform statistical analysis to validate data models and ensure their accuracy
Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Perform hands-on text, quantitative, statistical, and operational analysis
Work with business to review data sources, data inconsistencies, and business logic for initiating data discovery
Implement data formulation process, including identification of attributes, exploratory data analysis, data transformation, and temporal data structures
Gain feedback from partners and iteratively fine tune an approach to sufficiently resolve the question and maximize business impact
Present their contributions to colleagues and business leaders as a capstone exercise
What you’ll need to apply
Basic Qualifications :

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, or other data & analytic-related degree
Expected graduation date between December 2025 and Spring 2026
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Experience working with raw as well as prepared datasets
Proficiency with statistical or machine learning programming languages / tools : SQL, Python, Pandas, Cloud Computing
Preferred Qualifications :
Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment, and collaborate with colleagues from a range of backgrounds
Competency in SQL & Python, statistical methodology
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to successfully communicate analytic results, business insights, and business impact to a non-technical audience
