Job Description:
This role is a key component of the Consumer Banks First Line of Defense Fair Lending Risk function, aimed at identifying and mitigating potential fair lending risk. As a liaison, you will interface with business partners to drive meaningful reductions in fair lending compliance risk.
You will serve as a subject matter expert on fair lending laws and regulations within the first line of defense, encompassing all aspects of first-line risk management. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Supporting various business line projects to address specific fair lending compliance risk issues
- Analyzing and quantifying risks, assessing solutions or mitigation activities, and developing remediation plans
- Reviewing current policies and procedures to identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Acting as a subject matter expert on fair lending laws and regulations
- Analyzing, trending, and reporting on data related to business line practices to identify fair banking risks
In this role, you will demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment in assessing the significance and relevance of identified fair banking risks and timely escalation to Risk Management. A strong understanding of consumer loan documentation, loan servicing, and/or loan operations is essential, along with computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
A Bachelor's degree is required, and MUST HAVE CRCM Certification is also a requirement. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, based on national averages for similar roles.
