Come join our team! The Post Closing MERS Reviewer creates, tracks and resolves issues with the assignment process. This role will be responsible for producing a quality work product that meets state guidelines within specified timeframes. Attention to detail and quality is a must for this role.
- Create assignments related to the Mortgage Electronics Registrations system (MERS)
- Identify missing loan documents and work effectively with both internal and external customers to resolve issues as necessary
- Accurately complete all follow-up work
- Track outstanding assignments.
- Reconcile daily and/ or monthly exceptions identified by MERS.
- Ensure all exceptions are complete within 30 days per MERS guidance.
- Conduct annual audits with third-party vendors.
- Perform time-sensitive routine and repetitive tasks requiring research and problem solving skills in a fast paced environment using multiple applications
- Meet department productivity standards and service level agreements
- Complete other administrative duties related to departmental activities as assigned
- Knowledge of mortgage documentation
- Prior loan processing experience
- Associates or Bachelor Preferred
- Experience working in the Financial Services industry preferred
- Able to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Strong organization skills
- Positive and customer-focused mindset
- Strong and Professional verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners to resolve issues
- Computer proficiency with a good knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Self-starter who can carry out assignments to completion and work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn new things and ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment
- High School diploma required
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5pm - Hybrid in Glen Allen, VA
