We are looking for an International Tax Managing Director to join our Tax Department. As an International Tax Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
- Fostering and supporting a strong, team-oriented, high-achieving national tax practice group.
- Overseeing and driving multiple on-going projects through effective, coordinated, development-oriented collaboration with professional staff.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues in the core federal tax group and other practice areas in order to support the U.S. international tax compliance and consulting needs of their clients.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships in order to deepen overall understanding of client profiles and needs.
- Overseeing and reviewing U.S. international tax reporting prepared by others for completeness, accuracy, and opportunity identification.
- Performing tax research and collaborating with other subject matter experts in order to develop novel solutions to complex client challenges.
- Advising clients and their stakeholders on cross-border tax planning matters while helping them understand and navigate the relevant decision-making process.
- Participate in industry or service line-related organizations.
- Mentor, train and supervise staff.
- Supporting ITS Practice leadership in practice-related and firm initiatives.
- JD/LLM or CPA/MST
- 12 years of public accounting experience focused experience in U.S. international tax
- Strong knowledge of a broad range of U.S. international and domestic tax law provisions
- Top 25 accounting firm experience preferred
- Strong research, writing, and Microsoft Office applications skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Client-centric, proactive, and flexible professional service approach
- Ability and desire to strive for excellence in tax technical ability, relationship building, and the development of new and experienced staff professionals
- Ability to develop and deepen existing and new client relationships along with other verticals and lines of service
- Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills
