We are looking for a Business Advisory Solutions Partner to join our Tax Department. As a Business Advisory Solutions Partner, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
- Topside Reviewer of Tax Closings, Closing of Books, and tax preparation
- Field client questions and inquiries on all compliance matters such as income tax, franchise tax, sales/use tax, labor, benefits, etc.
- Tax and accounting research necessary to ensure accurate accounting and tax reporting. Developing budgets and pricing, select staff and assign workloads, and prepare or review reports
- General knowledge in specialty tax areas such as trusts/estates, mergers and acquisitions, foreign tax reporting requirements, and state and local tax matters
- Grow referral network made up of business contacts and/or clients to consistently generate business
- Experience with high-level business consulting in areas such as profitability enhancement, forecasting, establishing controls, project management, succession planning and providing clients with tools and information to make optimal decisions when running their businesses.
- Provide a sense of direction and purpose for staff members, while earning the trust of coworkers and client management
- Oversee engagement teams coordinating the completion of milestones during planning, preparation, review and wrap-up
- Maintain a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client management
- Provide training, direction, and supervision to engagement teams
- Assess performance of staff and provide appropriate feedback
- Contribute to the growth of the firm through business development
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting
- CPA required
- Minimum of 12 years of experience gained within a public accounting firm required, including 6 years of managerial experience
- Strong tax knowledge required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to supervise staff at all levels
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently, but also work well with others
- Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, Bloomberg Tax Planner, CCH Axcess, CCH Workflow, Caseware, and CCH Document is a plus
