We are looking for a Director of Procurement to join our Firm Operations team. The initial commodity categories this role focuses on will be IT and facilities expertise. This role involves acquiring IT equipment, software, and facilities services, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. This role involves collaborating with departments, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining vendor relationships. Additionally, this role will evolve to expand procurement to other areas of Citrin Cooperman to create a center of excellence for the procurement function.
As the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies for IT equipment, software, and facilities services.
- Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Overseeing the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining strong relationships with key vendors.
- Collaborating with IT and facilities departments to understand their procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.
- Preparing and presenting reports on procurement activities, including cost savings and supplier performance.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.
- Building and developing the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Establishing and expanding the procurement function across other areas of the business, aligning with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in procurement (focus on IT and facilities processes preferred).
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven success in a high growth organization
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in IT and facilities management.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
