We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for: 

• Designing and overseeing the deployment of the company’s technical infrastructure.
• Collaborating with IT managers and developers in support of system implementations.
• Ensuring that infrastructure management and administrative practices are in standard compliance.
• Adhering to IT disciplines including incident, problem, change, patch, capacity, performance management, etc.
• Maintaining and operating within IT compliance controls framework.
• Identifying inefficiencies and developing opportunities for improvements and cost savings.
• Documenting existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio.
• Gauging the effectiveness and efficiency of systems and developing strategies to further leverage technology.
• Developing, documenting, communicating, and enforcing technology standards and policies.
• Conducting research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts.
• Recommending technologies and approaches that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
• Developing and recommending strategies for investing in the technical infrastructure.
• Developing and executing test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance.
• Collaborating with development staff to define requirements and gain consensus for infrastructure plans.
• Reviewing IT projects, systems designs and procurement plans for compliance with architectural standards
• Creating system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to development teams.
• Designing recovery processes in accordance with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Designing process systems for archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of stored data assets.
• Maintaining knowledge of related trends and issues to reduce risk (i.e. regulatory compliance, privacy, etc.).

Qualifications

• BS in Technology or related area is required.
• Microsoft certification is preferred.
• Networking certification is preferred.
• Storage certification is preferred.
• Virtualization certification is preferred.
• Experience leading and/or participating technology projects including multiple internal and external parties
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal
• Highly proficient in the following technologies:
  • AD/DNS/ADFS/DHCP
  • Scripting (PowerShell, VB, etc.)
  • MS operating system software – Server 2016/19/22
  • Email Infrastructure – Exchange/Mimecast
  • Virtualization Infrastructure – e.g. VMware ESX, Hyper-V, Azure
  • M365
  • AVD
  • Storage Infrastructure – Dell/HP
  • Server infrastructure – Dell
  • Service Management Platform – e.g. MECM, SCCM, Intune

For positions in New York and California, the salary range is $150,000 - $170,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
