We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Designing and overseeing the deployment of the company’s technical infrastructure.
- Collaborating with IT managers and developers in support of system implementations.
- Ensuring that infrastructure management and administrative practices are in standard compliance.
- Adhering to IT disciplines including incident, problem, change, patch, capacity, performance management, etc.
- Maintaining and operating within IT compliance controls framework.
- Identifying inefficiencies and developing opportunities for improvements and cost savings.
- Documenting existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio.
- Gauging the effectiveness and efficiency of systems and developing strategies to further leverage technology.
- Developing, documenting, communicating, and enforcing technology standards and policies.
- Conducting research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts.
- Recommending technologies and approaches that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
- Developing and recommending strategies for investing in the technical infrastructure.
- Developing and executing test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance.
- Collaborating with development staff to define requirements and gain consensus for infrastructure plans.
- Reviewing IT projects, systems designs and procurement plans for compliance with architectural standards
- Creating system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to development teams.
- Designing recovery processes in accordance with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Designing process systems for archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of stored data assets.
- Maintaining knowledge of related trends and issues to reduce risk (i.e. regulatory compliance, privacy, etc.).
Qualifications
- BS in Technology or related area is required.
- Microsoft certification is preferred.
- Networking certification is preferred.
- Storage certification is preferred.
- Virtualization certification is preferred.
- Experience leading and/or participating technology projects including multiple internal and external parties
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal
- Highly proficient in the following technologies:
- AD/DNS/ADFS/DHCP
- Scripting (PowerShell, VB, etc.)
- MS operating system software – Server 2016/19/22
- Email Infrastructure – Exchange/Mimecast

For positions in New York and California, the salary range is $150,000 - $170,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
