The Animal Services Technician I provides humane care to all animals throughout their stay at Citrus County Animal Services while following best practice protocols and handling techniques.The schedule for this full-time position is Friday through Tuesday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and hours vary on Thursday. The schedule for this position is subject to change.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provides daily care to all animals including cleaning and sanitizing kennels.Performs Intake exams thoroughly, efficiently, and humanely, administering vaccines, preventative treatment, blood draws, and scheduling.Monitors the animals mental and physical well-being.Provides daily enrichment to all animals.Provides exceptional customer service to citizens and volunteers.Documents and maintains accurate and time sensitive record keeping of animals including behavior.Demonstrates ability to learn how to use animal handling tools efficiently and humanely. Creates a clean and welcoming environment for citizens and volunteers. Participates in maintaining a positive and effective team player environment.Performs humane euthanasia of animals when warranted.Upholds and engages in the progressive mission of Citrus County Animal Services.Performs other duties as required.
