Accounts Payable Analyst
Citrus County Sheriff's Office
Starting Pay Rate: $19.73/hour
General Description: Regular, full-time position working day shift, Monday through Friday and as required based upon the needs of the agency. The Accounts Payable Analyst performs a variety of tasks, requiring knowledge of purchase order processes, to support effective and efficient operations of the Agency's Financial Services Division.
Essential Functions:
- Processes accounts payable
- Maintains ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Schedules and prepares checks and/or ACH payments
- Converts requisitions to purchase orders
- Resolves purchase orders, invoice, or payment discrepancies
- Creates and processes journal entries
- Manages file retention
- Manages various credit accounts
- Processes 1099s
- All Citrus County Sheriff's Office employees are considered 'essential emergency workers' and are subject to working in any capacity/hours deemed necessary by the Agency during activations, including but not limited to, in-County and out-of-County deployments.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Two years’ office experience in accounting or related field required
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software programs used in modern accounting practices required
- High volume accounts payable processing experience preferred
- Vendor account management experience preferred
- Credit account management experience preferred
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and tolerate repetitive hand movements
- Must be able to drive agency or own motor vehicle as needed
Requirements:
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Florida Driver's license required
