JOB SUMMARY:
City Ambulance Service is seeking an EMS Liaison responsible for supporting our hospital partners and our Logistics department in providing support through professional, friendly, and accurate phone interactions and arranging of emergent and non-emergent ambulance transports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a part of a 24/7 operation
- EMS Liaison will actively work to improve collaboration, integration, and coordination with area EMS services
-Serve as a Liaison between the Hospital and City Ambulance on issues related to EMS and Hospital operations
- Actively participate in internal and external meetings related to advancement of City Ambulance service line
- Manage and grow business relationships with the assigned hospital
- Assist the Hospital with administrative functions:
- Affiliation Agreement management and coordination
- EMS Grand Rounds preparation and administrative oversight
- EMS Provider Credentialing
- EMS Care investigations
- EMS Medical Director/Service/Provider relationships and patient reporting
- Coordinate EMS educational classes for hospital staff
- Operates through the assistance of a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and a multi-telephone line system - Responsible for receiving and assigning emergent and non-emergent ground EMS transport efficiently to field personnel
- Stock ambulances and help logistics team with their needs
- Order supplies for stations and ambulances
- Recognizes critical situations and alters supervisor on complicated and unusual situations
- Builds relationships with clients and field personnel
- Submit company-related expenses on Zoho Expense
Other duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Commitment to teamwork and assisting colleagues in achieving company goals - Ability to think independently, to find creative solutions
- Availability to work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays
- Confident phone presence - Map reading skills, including online mapping programs - General geographic knowledge of San Antonio and surrounding counties
Full-time: Up to $17.00 per hour
Education: High School or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Customer service: 3 years (Preferred)
- Logistics: 3 years (Preferred) Shift Availability
EMT-License is a PLUS
