The Role:We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Adult Services Supervisor (Librarian II) to lead our Adult Services team and oversee the operations of our library’s Adult Services area. This is a high-impact role where you’ll inspire your team, implement innovative services, and ensure a welcoming and enriching space for our patrons. You’ll also play a critical part in shaping our library’s future by contributing to department-wide leadership and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and empower the Adult Services team and staff at the Information Desk. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that aligns with our healthy workplace culture initiatives.
Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional patron service by providing training in areas such as reference services, technology support, de-escalation, and enforcement of the library’s Code of Conduct.
Programming & Outreach: Collaborate with library leadership and other teams to develop, implement, and evaluate annual programming goals. Lead efforts to maintain engaging adult programming and community outreach initiatives.
Technology & Resources: Oversee public technology services, troubleshoot digital resources, and ensure optimal functionality of public computers, printing systems, and Wi-Fi.
Policy & Communication: Help create, review, and implement library policies and procedures. Engage with the community and represent the library at public meetings and events.
Data-Informed Decision-Making: Analyze patron data and trends to guide decisions and improve services in the Adult Services area.
Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve department goals and meet the evolving needs of the community.
Education
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in library science or records/information management or closely related field.
Experience
4 years of library experience with at least two years of increasingly responsible leadership experience in the assigned area of library work.
Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and projects.
Strong knowledge of reference services, library programming, and digitial resources.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
Comfort with technology and data analysis to inform decision-making.
Years of related experience may be substituted for required education, however education cannot be substituted for the necessary work experience. Candidates must meet the minimum required years of work experience.

Some evening and weekend hours.
Work is performed at City/County work locations with the ability to perform some duties remotely in accordance with Broomfield's remote work policy.
Physical demands are described as light (exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects).
Tasks may require use of a computer for several hours.
This position is eligible to work from home up to 1 day x week with the approval of their supervisor.
Salary : $71,282 - $96,450
