The Aquatic Park Work season runs May 21 - Sept 10, 2025
This position will work at both the Bay Aquatic Park and the Paul Derda Recreation Center and may work at the Broomfield Community Center.

Picks up trash in the aquatic park, pools, locker rooms and on the surrounding grounds.
Actively assists in daily maintenance and cleaning of the pools, locker rooms, bathrooms, showers, sinks, toilets, trash cans, decks, offices, and surrounding areas of the facility.
Cleaning includes sweeping, scrubbing, hosing, wiping down, and light landscaping including weeding.
Uses PPE and follows proper protocol and procedures when cleaning up bodily fluids and other biohazard material and bloodborne pathogens.
Cleans and performs basic maintenance on pool equipment and furniture such as tables, chairs, slides, vacuums, ladders.
Vacuum and brush the pools
Assists with providing customer service, checking bags and coolers, checking heights and ages of children, providing wristbands, and answering questions about rules, policies, and procedures.
Assists with pool operation set up and take down.
Assists with height checks and slide operations.
Responds and reacts effectively and efficiently to emergency situations.
Attends and participates in all training sessions.
Completes necessary paperwork including but not limited to accident reports, cleaning and maintenance logs
Assists with opening and closing procedures and transitions in pools. Takes care of equipment and stores equipment properly.
Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe conditions, uses all required and appropriate safety equipment.
Provides ongoing customer service.
Wears and maintains appropriate uniform.
Communicates, answers questions, and responds appropriately with internal and external staff, supervisors, customers, and user groups.

Necessary Special Requirements - Must be at least 14 years of age at the time of initial hire. New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass any or all of the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: oral board, background checks including local police check and sex-offender check.
- The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud.
Work a variety of hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, wet and or humid conditions.
Physical demands are described as medium (exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, kneel, crawl, talk and hear.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, reach with arms and hands, and use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Due to the nature of aquatics and rescue activities, the full range of physical movements are required in this position, including swimming, walking, running, jumping, lifting, and climbing.
May occasionally be exposed to potential hazards including toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles..
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision.
