Working with Broomfield’s camp programs is one of the most demanding and rewarding jobs you will ever have! We are searching for compassionate, strong, and fun folks to work at either of our high quality camp programs.
These positions assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Camp Explorer and/or Palooza Half Day Camp. All employees are directly responsible for overseeing the camp site and its staff, along with all aspects of the program which may include staff management, state license compliance, and curriculum development.
The 2023 Camp Explorer program runs May 31 - August 4 with training required May 22 - May 26. Weekly hours range from Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, and locations are Broomfield Heights Middle School for K-5 and Broomfield Commons Park for Middle School programs.
The Palooza program is held at the Paul Derda Rec Center and is year round, not just in the Summer. Everyone in this program is required to work school breaks as well as some weekends and evenings through the year. Palooza hours are weekday mornings from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm and one weekend evening per month from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm.

Available Positions:
OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the Necessary Applicant Traits and meets the State of Colorado Licensing requirements for a School Age Program Leader, Assistant Director and/or Director.
*Please note, an official letter confirming the number of hours will be required after hire for licensing purposes*
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record for continued employment (not required for Leader). Must possess or obtain a valid American Red Cross Standard First Aid Certification and CPR within 21 days of hire and maintain for continued employment. Applicants must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: oral board, reference checks, background checks including local police check, child abuse and sex-offender registry check, driving check through DMV. Fingerprint checks through CBI/FBI are required for the licensed Camp Explorer program (not required for Palooza assignments).Salary : $15 - $25
