We are currently seeking caring and energetic individuals to join our Preschool team as Instructors.
If you are passionate about early education, this is the role for you! Preschool positions provide early childhood education and socialization skills for children 2-1/2 to 5 years old.
Please note: This is not a summer position. The schedule during the school year is 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with a monthly meeting from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Employees are scheduled for no more than 28 hours per week. Positions may be scheduled to work at both the Paul Derda Recreation Center and the Broomfield Community Center.
Salary Range: $21.96 - $29.72 /hour
Preschool Instructor General Duties:- Plans and organizes activities in the areas of crafts, sports, games, special events and field trips.
- Maintains control of the class, monitors activities and provides a safe environment for participants.
- Assists children in socialization and learning skills.
- Documents and provides feedback to parents.
- Assists in maintaining the equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Provides a safe environment and creative learning environment.
- Communicates with Recreation staff and others in a timely manner.
- Prepares program materials, equipment, and other necessary items.
- Prepares for program activities; prepares lesson plans, organizes related equipment; may be required to set-up and break-down materials used for instruction.
- Complies with State Licensing Child Care regulations, including, completing appropriate paperwork and child assessments.
- Handles parent interactions and builds relationships with families
Training:
Current, valid AED, First Aid, and CPR Certifications preferred. (Certification will be provided by the employer if needed.)
Experience:
Instructor: Candidates must meet one of the following
A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in an accepted field of study.
A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a major area outside of the Early childhood field.
Introduction to Early Childhood Professions or
Early Childhood Guidance and Strategies For Children
An Associate’s degree or 60 semester credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, which must include two (2) three (3)-semester credit hour courses in Early Childhood Education:
Introduction to Early Childhood Professions or
Early Childhood Guidance and Strategies For Children
A Current Professional Teaching license issued by the Colorado Department of Education.
Current Early Childhood professional credential level 2 or higher in version 3.0 determined by the state.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry and fingerprint checks through CBI/FBI.
Must be 18 years of age.

Salary : $22 - $30
