About Our Job

The Denver International Airport is seeking a Maintenance Contract Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to assist with bridging the gap of multifaceted maintenance contract work needed to support DEN Maintenance's growing needs. You will play a critical role with assisting in minimizing risks, optimizing performance, enhancing stakeholders' relationships, providing for a more sustainable organization, and ultimately contributing to overall DEN Maintenance success.

Location and Schedule

  • On site at Denver International Airport (parking is provided)
  • Monday- Friday, Day shift 7am-5pm. Once probation has been passed, flexible schedule will be considered.
  • Denver International Airport is a 24 / 7 / 365 team operation. If staffing challenges occur, weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and / or alternative shifts (includes nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Participates in mandatory snow removal duties
  • Shifts are not guaranteed and are subject to change

    As the Maintenance Contract Coordinator, you will ensure that all contractors are in compliance with aviation, city contract policies, and procedures. You will be responsible for the simultaneous coordination of assisting with paying contract invoices, contract preparation, work order tracking, metrics reports, scope of work, compliance plans, and pre-bid conferences. You will also assist project managers and supervisors with contractual policies and procedures.

    Additional responsibilities include :

  • Process budget, contract, and procurement transactions including invoice processing
  • Support teams vast contracting needs by being able to assist as needed with contract procurement inception through contract administration close-out
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees airside / landside facility operations in accordance with airport and city rules and regulations.
  • Assist with creating, implementing and ensuring ongoing contract compliance with contractors.
  • Assist with logistics and coordination of maintenance program, projects, and activities, as it relates to a variety of maintenance contracts.
  • Conducts airside and landside facility inspections to ensure contract standards are followed.
  • Directs corrections to ensure an appropriate return to service in the event of impactful circumstances.
  • Trains and educates contractors, subcontractors, and airport staff on maintenance activities and best practices.
  • Responds to complaints from the public, contractors, airport users, aviation businesses, and tenants. Provides direction and assistance to passengers and resolves problems and / or disputes in a courteous, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Reports hazardous or substantial maintenance / construction problems.
  • Conducts inventory and audit of supplies and equipment required for contractor performance and tasks.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities to correct all deficiencies.
  • Coordinates administrative functions related to contract service agreements.
  • Maintain and manages metric reports, narratives, information databases, and required contract documentation.
  • Provide status reports and prepare forms and correspondence to ensure a seamless flow of the contracting performance.
  • Reviews and coordinates shutdown requests to support operational & maintenance activities related to maintenance contract services.

    In addition, we are looking for some or all of the following skills and experience :

  • Experience with creating and / or implementing contract compliance
  • Maximo or Contract Management system experience
  • Advanced proficiency with standard computer spreadsheets, word processing, database management, accounting, and administration software. Specifically, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Experience working with project managers and contractors on program requirements
  • Analyze and deal with emergency situations calmly and effectively
  • Communicate and collaborate frequently with team to coordinate operational activities
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead the efforts for improvement
  • Participates in the development of short-term and long-range planning initiatives and programs and serves as a liaison with other stakeholders' groups
  • Is naturally curious and able to identify risks and opportunities for innovation and process
  • Motivated self-starter who can carry out assignments with substantial independence and able to complete multiple tasks with varying deadlines while remaining organized
  • Strategic thinking, problem solving and collaborative leadership skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in fast paced, changing environment
  • Government experience is a plus
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement : Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET, or TASC Certificate.
  • Experience Requirement : Three (3) years of administrative or technical support experience evaluating contracts for compliance with standards driven by some combination of service, performance, and financial criteria.
  • 2 years of experience reviewing, evaluating, and working with multiple contracts in a fast-paced environment.

  • 1 year of experience working with vendors to assess key performance indicators to improve overall contract performance.
  • Education / Experience Equivalency : One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of education may be substituted for each required year of experience.
  • License / Certifications : By position, requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
  • Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
