What We Offer
This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. This position will work no more than 39 hours per week. The hourly pay for this position is $25.00 and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. On‐call positions may have routine or variable work schedules.
Location
This position reports on site from 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM at the Republic Plaza building located at370 17th St Suite 5300 Denver, CO 80202. This position will also work within the Denver County area serving legal documents.

The elected District Attorney is the chief law enforcement officer in the City and County of Denver and is responsible for the prosecution of violations of Colorado State Laws. The current Denver District Attorney is John Walsh.
What You'll Do
The District Attorney's Office is seeking a Part Time Process Server to help support the legal and court activities by hand-delivering documents such as subpoenas, summons, contempt citations, and restraining orders to individuals involved in court cases.
This position will be responsible for :
- Delivers various legal documents by hand to individuals involved with court cases ranging from summons and subpoenas to restraining orders. Collects the individual’s signature to confirm receipt of the document
- Locate individuals to be served involved in court cases, typically using public records databases to identify their current whereabouts and contact information
- Ability to adhere to rules and regulations - while locating individuals, delivering documents, and collecting signatures, process servers also need to ensure that they are following rules and regulations related to their duties
- Maintains accurate delivery records for all documents handle, including records of signatures. Process servers may need to prepare reports related to their deliveries for use by lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals
- Ability to research defendants and other involved parties and find their current address or place of work to deliver documents
- Process servers work with legal professionals to support their activities
- Performs other related duties as assigned
