Location and Schedule
In this position you can expect to work 100% on site at Denver International Airport.
Monday to Friday
8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
Denver International Airport is a 24 / 7 / 365 team operation. If staffing challenges arise, weather conditions warrant, or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and / or alternative shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
All scheduling is subject to adjustment and based on operational need.
What You’ll Do
Denver International Airport (DEN) is looking for a Safety and Industrial Hygiene Professional to join the Airport Operations Safety Team! In this position, you will perform occupational safety and health work to minimize employee exposure to risk and injury, ensure compliance with occupational safety and health requirements, and enforce safety and loss policies and procedures within all of DEN's operations.
Responsibilities and duties of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following :
Tracking and trending reported hazards using the DEN Safety Management System
Tracking and trending vehicle and facility damage
Working closely with airline representatives to address safety concerns
Participating in the Safety Management System Committee meetings
Conducting safety audits / risk assessments
Providing on-demand regulatory guidance to airlines and departments
Identifying controls to mitigate risk identified in risk assessments
Assisting with Incident Analysis
Monitoring and enforcing safetyinfractions
Hazard investigation and follow-up
Supporting the development and implementation of Safety Management System
Performing other duties as required or requested

Knowledge and understanding of FAA regulations specifically FAA part 139
Ability to learn and understand various software programs
Microsoft Office experience
Safety Management System (SMS) experience
Aviation experience preferred, but not required
Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial or Environmental Health and Safety, a physical science, or a related field.
Three (3) years of professional level occupational safety and health experience implementing and evaluating programs for compliance, accident prevention, employee involvement, and cost savings.
One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
This job requires driving. Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
FBI Background Check
FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and / or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical / drug test may be required.
