The Department of Parks and Recreation, Park Maintenance and Recreation Services Division is hiring for a Swimming Pool Custodian. There is one part-time, temporary (limited-term) vacancy located in Kailua. This position, under the direct supervision of the Park Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, performs a variety of duties in the operation and maintenance of the Kailua Pool with the responsibility for the condition and appearance of the pool mechanical and grounds areas.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- operating and maintaining the swimming pool filtration and chlorination equipment
- caring for and maintaining outdoor courts, grounds, parking lot and walkways
- assisting the Groundskeeper, when needed
- checking the supply of chemicals and other materials
- requesting additional supplies and/or maintenance, as needed

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to show competence in custodial, groundskeeping and/or simple maintenance work, including the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
The current vacancy requires a valid automobile/Type 3 driver's license, prior to appointment.
