Current Vacancies:
There are two (2) vacancies with the Department of Budget and Fiscal Services, Accounting Division.
- One vacancy is with the Fiscal Services Branch. This position supervises and coordinates resources and activities for the Community Services Fiscal section and provides advisory services relating to the use and projection of the financial data and information.
- One vacancy is with the Accounts Payable Branch.
There is one vacancy with the Honolulu Police Department, Finance Division.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a major in accounting or in business administration with courses in accounting. (Note: At least 12 semester credits in accounting or auditing courses is needed, six of which must be above the beginning or elementary course level from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience in professional (i.e., post bachelor's degree/non-clerical) accounting, including or supplemented by work experience demonstrating aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects; by serving as a group or team leader, or in similar work in which opportunities for demonstrating supervisory capabilities exist; by completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisory skills in work assignments; or by favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.
SUBSTITUTION: A Master's degree in Accounting from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university will substitute for one of the required four years of professional accounting experience.
