The Department of Enterprise Services , Customer Services Division, is hiring for a Cashier I at the Blaisdell Center and Waikiki Shell in Honolulu. This position performs a variety of activities related to the direct sale of tickets for paid events held at the Blaisdell Center and Waikiki Shell, and other events contracted for sale through the Box Office, and is responsible for providing excellent customer service skills to the public and tenants.
Special Work Conditions: May be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Work schedule subject to change based on operational requirements. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education Requirement
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
Experience Requirement
Three (3) years of clerical work experience, one (1) of which shall have involved the reviewing, checking, tabulating and recording of numerical information and data onto fiscal records, forms, reports, or similar materials.
Substitution: Business school or college will substitute for experience on a month-for-month basis for up to two years of the required three years of clerical experience. There is NO substitution for the one year of specialized experience involving the reviewing, checking, tabulating and recording of numerical information and data onto records, forms, reports or similar materials.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.
Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your education in order to be given credit for the substitution. Please attach an electronic copy of your diploma and/or official transcript which shows the embossed seal or applicable FCE to your application.
