Current Vacancies:
- There are three (3) vacancies with the Department of Environmental Services, Wastewater Engineering and Construction Division. Under the general direction and guidance of the Design and Construction Branch Chief for the Collection System Engineering Branch, this position is responsible for a Collection System Engineering Section and the engineering, design, and administrative work connected with the planning, directing, developing, and reviewing of plans, specifications, cost estimates, engineering studies, and support during construction on all of the City's initiated gravity sewer improvements and appurtenances. The sewer improvements comprise of sewer tunnels, interceptor sewers, medium-sized trunk sewers and smaller-sized sewers. Ensure subordinates and self adhere to applicable safety practices, rules, and procedures, and performs all duties in a safe and acceptable manner to ensure the safety of self, co-workers, and the general public.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

1. Current State of Hawaii registration as a professional engineer in Civil Engineering. Applicants with a current out-of-state license in Civil Engineering must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
2. Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license (Type 3/automobile), as required.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE EVALUATION:
