After two years as a non-registered electrical engineer, would you like to use your experience to review and approve someone else's plans instead of preparing them yourself?
The Department of Planning & Permitting, Building Division, is looking for independent Electrical Engineers who can review and approve moderately difficult plans and specifications for a variety of residential and commercial buildings, including electric vehicle charging stations and photovoltaic devices. It is your responsibility to ensure that electric projects assigned to you comply with accepted electrical engineering practices, electrical codes, and pertinent ordinances.
There is also one (1) vacancy with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, Capital Project - Mechanical and Electrical Branch.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.
Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your education in order to be given credit. If selected for the position, you must submit a copy of your diploma, official transcript which shows the embossed seal, or applicable FCE prior to hiring. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Two (2) years of non-registered professional (post-bachelor's degree) electrical engineering experience.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
