The Department of Transportation Services is looking for a Maintenance Management Information Systems Specialist (Planner VI) to oversee the development and implementation of the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) for rail including the design, business rules, data requirements, access, privileges, and business processes.
As a Maintenance Management Information Systems Specialist (Planner VI), your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for overseeing MMIS process improvements.
- Ensuring the MMIS provides users with access to incident tracking, asset tracking, service request and work order tracking, maintenance planning, inventory, purchasing, warranty claims, key performance indicators, and reports.
- Reviewing project and program material requirements, analyze current inventory levels and recommend additional ordering quantities and appropriate delivery schedules.
- Ensuring the Contractor is fully utilizing the MMIS, implementing new patches and versions, addressing MMIS issues, and making sure the system operates with resilience.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities of the position.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in information systems, public or business administration, or related field.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four years of experience performing Maintenance Management Information System and inventory control work as a primary function, two of which must have been in a large public or private transportation organization.
