The Honolulu Board of Water Supply is looking for a Program Administrator to direct the Field Operations Division in administering all of the division's programs.
As a Program Administrator, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Determining division and program priorities for operations necessary to carry out the BWS vision, mission, goals and objectives mandated by law and as determined by the Board, Manager and Chief Engineer.
- Developing and justifying the operating budget for the division.
- Serving as the principal advisor to the Manger and Chief Engineer on the water distribution infrastructure.
- Overseeing the coordination of work within and outside water system operations, resolving conflicts among programs, and coordinating activities with other divisions, branches, and non-BWS agencies and programs.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four (4) years of administrative experience relating to the design, construction, installation, and/or maintenance of a major facilities or systems encompassing field operations of a large geographic area.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a valid license as a professional engineer in the State of Hawaii. Applicants with a current out-of-state professional engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
