Help ensure the safety of employees and the community as a Safety Specialist I!The Department of Environmental Services (ENV), Refuse Collection and Disposal Division, is hiring a Safety Specialist I. Located in Kapolei, this position assists the Administrative Specialist III in managing the division's safety program, which includes preparing/conducting training, preparing statistics/reports, inspecting operations/facilities, enforcing safety practices and requirements, and investigating injuries/accidents. Adhering to applicable safety practices, rules, and procedures, you will be tasked to perform all duties safely and appropriately to ensure the safety of self, co-workers, and the general public. Special Work Requirements: Possible field exposure to underground high voltage cables, vehicular traffic, handling of refuse, confined spaces. May be subject to report to emergencies outside of the normal work hours. Will serve as a Disaster Response Worker during declared civil defense emergencies.Apply today!
