SFDPH strives to achieve its mission through the work of multiple divisions - the San Francisco Health Network, Population Health, Behavioral Health Services, and Administration.Job DescriptionUnder general supervision, conducts professional-level work in clinical neuropsychology and clinical psychology; carries out neuropsychological examinations of adults and children with neurological impairments and / or mental illness; prepares neuropsychological reports; psychodiagnostic examinations and psychotherapy; provides neuropsychological consultation to a multidisciplinary team; and performs related duties as required.Duties IncludeConducts neuropsychological test evaluations to aid in neurologic diagnosis; prepares psychological reports presenting diagnostic findings, interview findings, clinical evaluations, and recommendations for treatment.Administers, scores, and interprets neuropsychological tests and conducts diagnostic clinical interviews.Provides individual and group psychotherapy; participates in resident care team meetings; and provides behavioral consultation for patients.Reviews and evaluates social agency, school, and court records; consults with other professionals regarding cases under diagnosis and treatment.Provides coordinated care to maximize stability of environment and to maintain clients in the community.Provides education and consultation to community groups on neurobehavioral impairments and mental health topics.Assists in organizing and implementing clinical neuropsychology services and training programs.Participates in the planning and execution of psychological training internships and supervises psychology interns and postdoctoral students.Works with family members regarding behavioral management and treatment planning.Provides psychotherapy interventions related to neurobehavioral impairments and family support.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation : Possession of a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program.Experience : Completion of one year (1500 hours) of a supervised post-doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology.Completion of a two-year full-time post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology or two years of supervised experience as a Clinical Neuropsychologist.License and Certification : Possession of a current, valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology.Substitution : Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology may substitute for the fellowship requirement.Possible Special ConditionsSome positions may require bilingual fluency.Successful completion of a 4,000-hour post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology may be required.Six months of post-graduate level psychological testing experience may be required.Twelve months of clinical experience with children may be required.Important Note : Applicants must clearly indicate how they meet the minimum qualifications in their application.Selection Procedures : Training and Experience Assessment : Candidates must achieve a passing score on the assessment to continue in the selection process.How to apply : Applications are accepted online.
