Job Description
Under general direction, the Clinical Pharmacist performs professional pharmaceutical duties in drug education and utilization, counsels patients on drug usage, educates health care personnel on drug utilization, and may compound drugs and dispense medicines in a clinical pharmacy. The 2454 Clinical Pharmacist also performs other related duties as assigned.
Nature of positions : Positions are located throughout the Department of Public Health, including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG), Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center (LHH), Community Primary Care and Mental Health Clinics, as well as San Francisco County Jails. Some positions may require employees to work directly with individuals within locked jails and psychiatric facilities, the homeless population and / or individuals who have or are carriers of infectious / communicable diseases.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
License : Requires possession of a valid Registered Pharmacist license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy. (Please attach a copy of license);
Experience : One (1) of the following :
One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week).

Selection Procedures :

Training and Experience Evaluation (Weight : 100%) : Candidates will be emailed a Training and Experience Evaluation Supplemental Questionnaire at any point in the recruitment process.
Language Proficiency Exam : For positions requiring bilingual fluency, candidates deemed qualified who meet the special language condition must pass a departmentally approved language proficiency exam prior to appointment.
Certification : The certification rule for the eligible list resulting from this examination will be the Rule of the List.
Eligible List / Score Report : Once you pass the exam, you will be placed onto an eligible list and given a score and a rank.
