As a Assistant Parts Manager, you will oversee the parts department operations to ensure efficient and profitable service. You will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers. City Auto is seeking an ambitious and knowledgeable Parts Manager, with no less than three 10 years of professional experience working in a dealership, automotive repair facility, or parts distributor.
Job requirements:
- Manage and oversee the parts department operations, ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency.
- Answer phones, providing pricing and other parts related information
- Maintain an organized and accurate inventory system, including ordering, receiving, and stocking parts.
- Supervise, train, and support parts department staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms to maximize profitability.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Implement and monitor processes to ensure timely and accurate parts availability for service technicians.
- Monitor and analyze parts department performance, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and manage the parts department budget, including forecasting and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an automotive parts department, with at least 1 year in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and inventory management systems.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software related to parts management.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
