GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Grow a District of successful City Brew Stores in various locations; develop district-level strategies to achieve each Store’s financial, operational, and customer service goals, which addressing each Store’s individual and unique strengths and challenges.
Lead a team of leaders by way of motivating, coaching, and strengthening Store Managers, Senior Assistant Managers, and Assistant Managers as team leaders and retail operators.
Serve as a resource by providing expertise on critical customer issues, team staffing and management, store operations and company policies and procedures.
Responsible for oversight and ultimate daily planning, management and leadership role of multiple City Brew District Stores, to include exceptional product quality, guest service, inventory control, cost management, and other various duties assigned by the Director of Retail Operations and the Corporate Office.
Reports directly to the Director of Retail Operations, and as determined appropriate, the Corporate Office, including Human Resources and Employee Relations, as well as Legal.

- Manage and maintain a qualified team at all District Stores using proper personnel procedures for hiring, training, scheduling and management of all employees to comply with the budgeted payroll plan and City Brew standards.
- Demonstrate and oversee the delivery of excellent guest service and product quality at all District Stores.
Manage and maintain the annual operating budgets for all District Stores.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Retail experience managing multiple retail stores; management experience leading a team, including training and coaching, with strong leadership and communications skills; strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; excellent in Employee and Customer Relations skills; proven Management experience; general knowledge of computer and connectivity systems; interest and enjoyment of coffee and coffee-related products; thorough knowledge of the philosophies, principles, and practices of service industry management and operations, and specifically, the Service/Coffee Industry; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the Corporate Office, Store Managers, employees, and the general public; ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects, ability to maintain the confidentiality of proprietary Company information and records; ability to analyze facts and present recommendations effectively in oral and written form; ability to establish, implement and monitor operational and clerical procedures relevant to Territory Stores.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Training and experience suitable for Management position at District Level.
Retail experience managing multiple stores and/or departments, P&L, inventory, operations, and customer service.
Management experience leading a team of employees and managers, including training and coaching, with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ensure strict control of cash generated by all District Stores, including audits of all cash sources on a regular basis.
- Maintain exceptional standards and cleanliness of all buildings, parking areas, and landscaping associated with all Territory Stores.
- Maintain internal inventory systems properly balancing desired inventory levels with a fully stocked retail Store at all District Stores and a minimum number of shortages.
- Execute and support all marketing initiatives to include the proper placement of POP materials. Routinely make suggestions regarding new marketing applications.
- Monitor the compliance of all City Brew policies, programs, and procedures within all Territory Stores.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Retail Operations and/or Corporate Office, as applicable.
- Assist Human Resources Officer and/or other members of Corporate Office in conducting investigations of employees for disciplinary matters, write reports regarding the investigations and make discipline recommendations in consultation with the Corporate Office.
- Work directly with, discuss with, and advise Director of Retail Operations (or any other directed corporate personnel) on general personnel issues in all District Stores.
- Work directly with, discuss with, and advise Director of Retail Operations (or any other directed corporate personnel) on personnel matters and issues, including hiring, discipline, employee evaluations, performance improvement plans, termination, and post-termination processes.
- Work directly with, discuss with, and advise Director of Retail Operations (or any other directed corporate personnel) on grievances and/or grievance issues.
- Facilitate providing copies of all personnel/discipline/investigation files to Human Resources Officer and Corporate Office.
- Assist with providing recommendations, as appropriate, regarding application of Company policy and procedure in all District Stores.
- Maintain a close working relationship with Director of Retail Operations and other personnel at Corporate Office, as appropriate.
- Provide any requests for extended leave for District Store employees to Corporate Office/Human Resources in a timely manner.
- Provide any requests for Family and Medical Leave Act, and requests for accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act, or any similar requests, to Corporate Office/Human Resources in a timely manner.
- Participate in training provided by Management Personnel, whether Director of Retail Operations or other personnel within the Corporate Office, related to employee management, hiring and retention practices, discipline and performance evaluation, and other related matters.
- Assist with the development and/or implementation of employee recognition programs, as directed by the Corporate Office.
- Perform other assigned tasks or related work as required and as assigned by the Corporate Office.
