Job Summary
Assist in all areas of Batching Department administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to, batching materials and cleaning supply ordering, production data entry, personnel scheduling and inventory management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Order, receive and inventory batching trap filter bags, supplies and cleaning supplies.
- Assist Purchasing with the timing on bulk ingredient deliveries to ensure storage room, maintain inventory records and reporting.
- Assign and enter cleaning data into the Master Cleaning Schedule.
- Data entry in Manage 2000 and various spreadsheets on a daily basis.
- File completed batch sheets.
- Assist with SOP creation and modifications
- Assist with audit functions as needed.
- Assist Central Receiving Coordinator with ingredient inventories, rotation of inventory to help ensure ingredients are used within the expiration dates, report expiration dates and communicate to appropriate personnel.
- Label ingredient containers with any updated expiration dates and communicate to Supervision.
- Make inventory adjustments as needed.
- Perform pre-production inventory to ensure we have what is needed prior to liquid production and communicate any shortages.
- Separate and label similar ingredients for different customers to ensure the correct ingredients are being used for the right customer.
- Communicate with the Purchasing, Production Scheduling, Accounting, Packaging, Quality Assurance and Maintenance departments, as necessary, to accomplish all of the above.
- Communicate with vendors/suppliers to assure materials arrive when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of secondary education in an applicable area of study (Biology, Food Science, Chemistry, Data Processing, Inventory Management, etc).
- Previous experience in practical, hands-on batching work that has encompassed all facets of the batching process or production-oriented data entry and inventory management a plus.
- Possess excellent communication, planning and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work overtime and off shift hours as needed.
