Job Summary
City Brewery's Electrical Mechanic (Electrician) is a key part of the facility's Maintenance team in ensuring efficient and safe equipment operations while also resolving electrical issues that arise during shifts. It is responsible for calibration, installation and verification of instrumentation systems, PLC programming, and HMI programming. As well has having a strong understanding of mechanical systems. They will set up tests, operate tests and collect data. The Technician will also build, test trouble-shoot, and repair electronic circuits. They will also maintain equipment tracking / calibration database.
This position requires a high level of technical competence and ability to grow competitive capabilities of the Company. It also requires that this individual understands company philosophy and helps achieve customer service and other company goals. Finally, this position requires an individual who is planful, articulate and above all else, resourceful to accomplish required objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be fully capable of troubleshooting and repairing PLC systems. Candidates with Rockwell CLX, SLC500, and PLC5, experience is preferred.
- Candidates must have prior experience with operator interfaces and be capable of troubleshooting those systems. Experience in A-B Panel-View, Panel-View , Factory Talk SE, ME, and Studio software.
- Experience with logic diagrams, instrumentation installation details, piping and instrument
diagrams, motor control schematics, and specifications. - Experience with loop controller, regulators, transducers, recorders, process controls, pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, temperature transmitters, pneumatic, control valves is desired.
- Experience in A-B servo programming and controls, especially knowledge in Sercos control and Kinetix Servo Controllers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with motors, drives, control systems, and other electrical and mechanical components.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize equipment performance and implement improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent on tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all repair and installation activities.
- Provide support during equipment upgrades or modifications.
- Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in electronics or equivalent job-related experience or military experience
- Manufacturing experiencing totaling 4-8 years, preferrable
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and control systems
- Demonstrated motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to adopt and express a view that may differ from that of organizational leadership.
- Proven problem-solving ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong Mathematical/Analytical Skills
- Positively contributes to a collaborative team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
