Job Summary
This position function is responsible for completing repairs/preforming preventative electrical maintenance throughout the facility; troubleshooting; responding to calls; working closely with operations and production supervisors to ensure efficient operations; maintaining records, logs and files required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Write and modify extensive PLC’s and HMI’s programs for the following:
- Allen Bradley
- Modicon
- Omron
- PLC5
- SLC5
- Control Logix
- Motion Control
- Troubleshoot or establish control networks for the following:
- EtherNet/ IP
- DeviceNet
- DH-485
- Modbus
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot Process control systems
- Perform all duties within GMP standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Responsible for department compliance with GMP, HACCP and FSMA guidelines
Minimum Qualifications
- Software skills to include
- RS Logix 500 and 5000
- ProWorks32
- Wonderware
- FactoryTalk
- Substantial electrical experience
- Must be 18 years old
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and effectively use the Internet, as well as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial electronics and instrumentation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, control power and drive, sanitary control principles, operation and troubleshooting
- Strong leadership skills
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lock out/tag out, confined space)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Highly motivated, self-directed, worker that is able to work autonomously in a fast paced an often loud food production environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds
- Electrical troubleshooting experience in high speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment preferred
