City Cellars is looking for a talented and motivated Brunch Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a key player in our kitchen, you’ll be responsible for executing a dynamic brunch-focused menu with precision, efficiency, and creativity. We serve brunch every day, so we need a cook who can handle high-volume service while maintaining exceptional quality and consistency. You’ll work closely with our Executive Chef and Lead Line Cook to deliver bold, seasonal flavors while maintaining high standards of consistency and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook brunch menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and plating guidelines.
- Demonstrate proficiency in egg cookery (poaching, scrambling, frying, basting, omelets, etc.), pancakes/waffles, and meat temperatures (steaks, bacon, sausage, etc.).
- Keep a clean, organized, and well-stocked station throughout service.
- Work efficiently on the griddle, sauté, and pantry stations, ensuring quick, consistent execution.
- Assist with prep work, including chopping produce, making batters, portioning proteins, and preparing sauces.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and accurate order execution.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring proper handling, storage, and labeling.
- Monitor food quality and consistency, adjusting as needed to maintain high standards.
- Participate in daily specials and seasonal menu discussions, contributing ideas and feedback.
- Assist in kitchen cleanup and restocking post-service to maintain an organized workspace.
- Experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume brunch restaurant preferred.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques, including eggs, pancakes, waffles, and breakfast proteins.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently during busy brunch services.
- A team-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
- High standards for cleanliness, organization, and personal presentation.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak brunch shifts—since brunch is served daily!
